I went back and watched the UC, WVU and UNC games to determine if I missed anything.
I concluded that we are a bad football team. Whether we stay a bad football team is of course unknown.
1. Our offense has no identity
2. Our OLINE gets manhandled often.
3. Our QBs have terrible footwork and no ability to extend plays.
4. Two of WRs don’t belong at this level.
5. Our D has some fine moments but breaks down in critical situations.
6. High number of penalties shows a lack of discipline and attention to detail. That’s coaching.
7. Without any genuine playmakers on offense, it is critical that we execute with precision but we look like we have no idea what we are doing. Candidly, it’s embarrassing.
I have not seen a Pitt team this bad since Hackett was around.
Maybe I’m wrong, but nothing I’ve seen on the field suggests a turnaround.
If that is the case, then a major off season overhaul is in order.
