It was just toxic by the end of the season. I have never seen a player with worse body language in my life tonight than Cam Wright..except for perhaps Josh Newkirk.

The effort was beyond poor, and these players are not good enough, and Jamie is too good a coach for them to get him fired. He will make the necessary changes because if he comes back with these players and this coaching staff for the first time perhaps his job could be in some danger after next season. This was vintage late Paul Evans tonight, and you can get a Paul Evans fired with nights like tonight but not Jamie, not yet.

This team needs like 5-6 new faces next season and a new face or two on the coaching staff.

I have never, ever been more mad at a game than I was tonight. I've been dejected, sad, frustrated, but if we are talking levels of depression tonight the stage was definitely anger. And the worst of it is I feel I care more about this than most of the team.

I do have some newfound respect for James Robinson though, the effort was there from him and he was totally in the game. The rest of the group, not so much. Good riddance Cam Wright, way to go ending your career with a Bronx cheer from the crowd. Also, Josh newkirk is back to his old ways, he is 1000 times worse at home.

I can't remember the last time I liked a team less than I like this group right now. What a meltdown.

For some good news, should be a fun offseason.

Hail to Pitt

Never want to react rashly, but after tonight's putrid performance it's hard not to agree. JD may have to send a message by jettisoning more than just Haughton and Uchebo. If Benji Bell is good, then it makes sense to me to make that trade for Newkirk for starters. I think I've seen enough of Chris Jones, too.

I like to think I'm an optimistic guy and maybe more than I should be, but I really do think it is time for Josh to go. He is an OK shooter but really hasn't been since the beginning of the season. He cannot dribble the ball that well and he is not a good defender. But even after all of that my main problem with Josh is that he regressed completely. I remember thinking to myself during the start of conference play "wow Newkirk has really been the only guy that I can remember that has regressed under Jamie Dixon." The truth hurts and I thought he could be a very good player after last year but high level college basketball programs do not have time for players that regress. We can at least get a guy like Benji Bell who can shoot it effectively. And would be the same year as Josh would be next year so no harm done.
