So Capel mentions Canada and I think that is a great idea. A good portion of the country is relatively close and there can be a connection made there. You land a couple of kids and then let them recruit. We have seen Pitt do this with NY/NJ and Philly. It is the most effective recruiting strategy there is. If they can build something to Canada, that would be great. SO many players up there .
Raphael Chillious - Took the fall with Kevin Ollie at UConn. Was an associate head coach at Washington before UConn. He also spent a year at Villanova. He was a prep coach and then the head coach of South Kent from 2003-08. As we all know, he had some studs there.
Guy can really recruit and has connections to Canada and across the country.
Jamie McNeilly - Current assistant at Virginia Tech. Has spent a lot of time under Buzz at both Virginia Tech and Marquette. He has also spent time with the Canadian Team in international play as an assistant.
Wouldn't be easy to pull him from Buzz but why not try? Worst case is that you force Virginia Tech to increase their staff budget.
At this time, I do not see Knight happening.
