with Cap in semi-retirement and to take everyones mind of the loss, how about some Penn State talk?

Wow, are things bad in State College. On paper, Franklin was a home run hire. Guy could recruit (and still can), was sort of a local guy, and had some success as a P5 coach. But something just isn't right there.

I really think the specter of Joe and the jobots more concerned about vindicating him is adversely affecting the program. It is part of the reason why O'brien got out of town. Unless they get one of their own (Rhule or Munchack), this will be an issue for any one they bring in from the outside.

Rhule is probably there best option but he may not be available in a year or two but then again he could become another A. Golden.
