Time to Put Up $ Wrestling Fans

If the school isn't willing to make the required commitment to hire Pat, then screw them. A number of us have committed to make payments to up the salary of the next coach, but the University has to do its share as well.

Jesus Mike. Do you think we would interview someone like Santoro without deciding already that we were willing to up the ante?

If you want to keep the same company as PS, then the boosters need to ante up. Pretty simple.

The hope should be for the university to cover the most of the salaries and donations would go to facility upgrades and funding the wrestling club.

Absolutely. To make it look like they are chasing a top coach, when they really aren't. I'm not saying that is the case here, but I wouldn't put it past them.

As far as upgrading the facilities and the wrestling club, I doubt we are going to get a commitment of $600,000 annually for the PWC like PSU has, and let's face it, right now we don't have alumni like David Taylor, Nico, etc. who would bring it the cache that PSU has. Let's start recruiting NCAA champions first and then get them to be part of the wrestling club after.
