It’s obvious that Capel and his staff were the main problem.

Johnson and Stewart (not an ACC player) started for IU in their 6 point win over EMU. Johnson had 14 and Stewart 6. Maybe next year when Hood-Schifino joins IU, they can have 3 guards with Pitt ties.

That's the closest thing we'll ever get to having good recruits at Pitt under Capel. If he ever gets any, he chases them away with his toxicity.

Johnson, Toney, and McGowens are all very talented. I don't know how Capel couldn't keep that team together. Hire a friggin psychologist or babysitter to make sure they dont screw each other girlfriends. The fact those guys hated each other is on Capel. I dont get it.

McGowens was the same at Nebraska last year as he was here. He’s ok but should be easily replaceable. Emphasize should.

In spite of disagreeing with you on many other topics, I have to agree with you on this one. Capel has a knack of chasing off the good recruits because he is incapable of instilling a productive, positive culture on this team. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors, but it's obvious he is a negative force with the good players.

IU were 25.5 point favorites and Johnson had 14 points, 3 turnovers, and 3 fouls in 25 minutes. He was very meh. He'd be the best guard on Pitt though.

Yea I included him hoping no one would notice. He was the worst of the 3....but a good 5th starter or bench guy on a good team.
