Top 50 College Defensive Players of All Time

As Aaron Donald continues to make a joke of NFL DPOY awards and starts getting compared more regularly to all-time greats like Lawrence Taylor (It's already happening: LINK), I think there will be a more serious look at his place as an all-timer in college. His stats at Pitt were WAY better than Suh's at Nebraska, he had less talent beside him than Suh did so he was double-teamed more while earning those stats, and it's clear in the NFL that he is better ... yet Suh's hype while in college was so huge he's still considered the better college player. Over time this will change and AD will be on these types of lists.

EDIT/ADDITION: I believe AD's change in perception as a college great will be similar to Jerry Rice's ascent to "college legend" status over time after being only the 16th pick in the '85 draft coming out of a D2 school (and only the 3rd WR picked in that draft). As his skills in the NFL became clearer & clearer, his crazy stats in college were eventually re-examined as being truly reflective of his abilities at the time, to the point he's now considered one of the best 2-3 college WR's ever.

Rickey Jackson not too shabby at Pitt either (in the NFL hall of fame) and a not insignificant reason for Hugh's success. That said, Hugh was transcendent.

LT in same breath as Hugh. Then a drop off. Selmon, Stillwagon, Reid. I didn't open the link because my mind still works and I think and remember for myself.
