He is better than Kellen Stout, so that is a positive if he is eligible this year. I wonder if Bono moves to 184?
Some good quotes in this article.Guess this is it!
I watched his Sr year state championship match and a freestyle match and he has some upside. He isn't a great athlete, though, and has heavy feet. He'll have trouble with quick, strong guys, as he doesn't have the balance and reactions to keep up with fast paced chain wrestling and scrambles. Some of that is due to footwork issues that leave him vulnerable to reshots and counters, but that is a coachable flaw.
He has the will in spades though, and goes hard to the final buzzer. No quit in him at all. He looks like another one of those guys that fits the HCKG mold to a T. Not sure he'll ever be AA, but he will be successful due to his desire alone.
Does he have the length and body to grow into a heavyweight?
