Twins will announce today ...

They’re older than most true high schoolers, but they turn 19 in June. It’s not like a Femi age thing.

“No one with multiple years of eligibility will come to Pitt” was another one of his declarations

So much so that he kept saying it after we signed a guy with multiple years of eligibility left. So my guess is that this won't stop him from continuing to say it.

"Well yeah, but that guy doesn't count."

"Well, ah, yeah, um, none of those guys really count either."

Weren’t they sort of unknowns until relatively recently? And I’m asking cause I just don’t know. But that could explain some of it.

I believe they said that they wanted to here a year earlier but covid prevented that from happening. The possible upside imo is they just have 1 year of high level ball so far and made great improvements in that year.

I believe yesterday he was contesting how many years Hinson should have left.

Nice additions by Capel. Hopefully they can contribute this coming year. Anytime you get two top 100 kids to commit that's a win

Haven’t looked at any film on them but welcome. Most articles say the one is better than the other. So if the better one is in foul trouble they could always switch jerseys at half time…

I’ve been told by a reliable Umass source they wanted the twins bad and have PLENTY of room. So it was a win!
It's a win ? Pitt beat out UMASS ,there an Atlantic 10 bottom feeder not saying that these kids won't be good ,but are we at the point calling beating out UMass a win

True, but Frank Martin is the coach there now so it’s still a solid recruiting win considering where our program is at currently.

Not sure how it translates to ACC play, but doesn’t look like they’ll be struggling to find minutes. The range ..that’s awesome at 7’
Hesitant to say .. but with that height and pure shot does remind a bit of Chet Holmgren ...and at the least seems to be an answer for all those times Hugley was double and triple teamed ... can't see that happening any more with the twins who can shoot in the corners ... just seems to be a great get for Pitt ...

Apparently you're unaware UMass hired Frank Martin. Beating him out is a win.

We haven't had anyone with that sweet of a three-point stroke since Yuri Demetris

;)

Happy to be wrong for once but these 2 really confused the crap out of me. Some sites had them as Top 100, some had them ranked really low. And they weren't being recruited by programs much higher than Pitt level. All and all, Capel has done relatively ok this off-season.

You said they are twin Amadasuns, are they that bad?

247 seems to agree as well.

Recruiting them together may have been the key, other programs recruited them separate, maybe the came to Pitt purely to stay together.

The chances that you are both actually happy and wrong for the first time are 0.000%.
If SMF would have said 0.001%, he would be proclaiming that he was right again, "there WAS a chance!"

Yes, these aren't your old BE-style bigs. These are European style bigs who can play well away from the basket with their shooting and passing skills (they look like great passers with good court vision). Which is a perfect compliment to Hugely down low as far as spacing and lineups go.

Europeans play a much more team game than Americans, they don’t focus solely on taking your man to the hole and dunking over him .

Pitt recruited them together because they need warm bodies, and both of them qualify for that.
