1) James Conner. This is a no-brainer. As of now #26 Bell splits out wide a lot and is used in the passing game as an integral part. Conner has shown that he is capable of this. He is the type of back that the Steelers need to sign to back up Bell so that nothing is lost when Conner comes in for him. (Injuries, suspension, not ponying up the big bucks come contract time, etc.)
2) Nate Peterman. Lets face it....LANDRY JONES SUCKS! Big Ben has more years ahead of him, but the Steelers need to develop a QB behind him. Nate would be a 6th round pick, so he wouldn't be as big a draft investment as Jones was, and I believe if he sits a couple years could develop into a good (not Big Ben great QB). Worst case scenario, we develop a full time backup QB that is serviceable. Which is a lot more than we have had since Batch retired.
