a couple of guys who don't get a lot of publicity but who I thought did a great job today included Briggs, T Webb, Sean I.

Briggs should get a lot of time next week against a pass happy OKSt offense. Young man continues to make plays on corner blitzes and is a true blue collar bring your lunch pail to work kind of guy.

Webb had a tough match up all day against Hamilton in the flat but made several strong open field tackles.

Sean had to have had 7-8 tackles on the day and didn't make any mistakes that I recall that hurt the team.

Congrats to each and every player, the coaches, and all of Panther Nation. Time to start OKSt week. Cheers

Have to take issue with your props to T. Webb. He had a pretty bad day at free safety in both run and pass D. Was out of position a lot, looked slow, confused at times, didn't really hit anybody that I recall, and frankly got really lucky on a couple of those missed deep balls where he was badly beaten. The middle of the field was his responsibility in both the run and pass D and there was nobody home several times.

We need to upgrade at FS and the LB positions for sure. The LBs had a tough day too. Made some splashy plays but on the whole were not solid in their every down assignments. Caprara blew his coverage assignment on Barkley a couple of times by over-committing and getting sucked in in run fakes. We have some good looking young DBs who should take care of the deficiencies there eventually, but the LB quality and depth needs some work. I think a couple of the guys from the last 2 classes will emerge next year, but we need more players at LB.
