Hey, I haven't noticed any leaks or hints as to the uni changes that are going to be revealed in May. Has anyone heard/seen any mock ups etc?

I'd guess the first day of Summer/Fall camp would be ideal. Isn't that technically media day, or at least they have pictures that day. That would be best. Maybe the opening day of Spring ball but there really isn't any "ceremonial start" to this at all and even very little media accessibility..

As an impatient fan, I want to see it now but this is a big deal, they should build it up as much as they can..

Spring I believe is when the school officially adopts all sports to script... Is expect to see something then ... Going to be a 3 year roll out in order to cover all the bases but uniforms will be ready in spring ... Also heard maybe a new panther is coming as well which would be cool!

Speaking of mascots I did see a bubble razorback pig for the Arkansas bowl game. What is up with the pederson administration tree and bubble boys?

My biggest wish is that they are reasonably clean with legible numerals. The original dinocats were the worst I have ever seen in that regard.

For me, the color change and even the Pittsburgh thing was less disturbing than the fact that I could not tell who made the tackle: 23 or 36 or 38 or 86 or 68 or 83? They all looked identical from any distance and that simply doesn't work.

Incidentally, WVU's numerals are also ridiculous looking. Their former numerals were much nicer looking.

Clean and readable is not too much to ask, is it?

Also, I don't expect this to happen but I would strongly favor white numerals. White numerals would offer a much greater contrast on navy blue uniforms than does the gold numerals and therefore will always look better. That is why just about every other team that has navy blue uniforms uses white numerals.

It's simple advertising theory. The easier your brain is able to process an image the better that image looks to your brain. The better something looks to your brain the more likely you are to buy it.

I know people fear that white numerals would make them look too much like Notre Dame's uniforms but I think that is grossly overstated. You can definitely get around that issue with differently shaped numerals and some other markings on the uniform.

I really think that could be a nonissue if executed properly. There are plenty of teams who wear red/burgundy and white uniforms and they don't all look the same. There are plenty of teams who wear red, white and blue uniforms and they all manage to differentiate themselves from each other as well.

For whatever reason, no one seems to understand that principle. However, were it up to me, I would definitely go to white numerals with gold as an accent color rather than vice versa.

Or Notre Dame could keep wearing those purple-ish looking things they wore the other day and then no one will get them confused.

Member of the media and former player indicated he couldn't say much but there's going to be "throwbacks".

Key words are "going to be revealed in May". Apparently Nike is adamant about keeping this secret until the big reveal.
