USA soccer Mecca

If UEFA offered the USSF, they would be complete idiots to say no. It would be like Pitt turning down the SEC because they arent in the southeast.
Why would they? and it would suck in a lot of ways, they would have a harder time qualifying for the WC, and maybe not even qualify for the UEFA every time. And if Pitt went to the SEC it probably wouldn't be fun, they'd get more money and be in the BIG LEAGUES, but it might just be 4-8 every year, and be all excited to get to 7-5 and a spot in the Doritos Bowl.

I wonder about people that wish USA was in UEFA or Pitt could get into the SEC. Look at James Madison football, they were going 15-0 and 14-1 every year and winning multiple FCS tournaments. So, they moved to the FBS in the Sun Belt, they went 8-3, not bad, but if I was a fan, I think I would have rather remained the BIG DOG in the FCS. A few years from now if they are 7-5 and in some crappy bowl, I'd be missing the 15-0 seasons at the lower level.

Do you think Pitt should turn down an SEC invite if it was offered?

No, but it wouldn't be as FUN for the fans, they'd be MAJOR LEAGUE and get the big money, but I doubt we'd be serious contenders unless there where drastic changes, Championships, like in the ACC or even Big East would be a thing of the past, we'd be wearing our 2021 ACC Champs t shirts forever with no shot at a new one.
