USA TODAY (today)

So is it more important to get an easy win against 6-5 EMU in Detroit, or would it be better to play the Florida Gators in the Peach Bowl, where (heaven's forbid) we might lose?
If we are in Detroit against EMU, it means we lost both the Miami and Clemson games and are 7-6.

So no... that would not be better. USA Today is apparently projecting us to lose both games.

You don't think we could end up there if we beat Miami and lose to Clemson? That would be a relief.

If you'd rather go to Detroit or Annapolis again, you're welcome to that opinion.

Me... I'd prefer Orlando or Nashville. And to get there, we'll need 8 wins.

If we go to 7-6, I'd rather play EMU to have a better chance at 8-6, looks better than 7-7.

You missed the point. The only way we're playing in Detroit is if we lose the next two and are 7-6.

If we're in the Peach bowl, in means we are 9-4 and just pulled off the biggest upset of the year in Charlotte. So losing to someone and going 9-5 is better.

Read my post again, "IF they fall to 7-6, then I'd prefer an easy opponent to finish with a winning record of 8-6" But yeah, I'd take beating Clemson, even if it meant getting crushed in a bowl game.

I think the combination of beating Miami and bringing 15,000 fans to charlotte will convince the power brokers to put us in a very good bowl game

Conversely, losing to Miami (and killing the buzz around the program) and losing to Clemson.... will relegate us to Detroit or Annapolis again.

The Miami game is very important... despite what local talking heads with a "pro" mindset say. It is NOT a meaningless game.

I thought I read that making the ACC Championship Game guaranteed a tier one bowl game...regardless of record...

To be brutally honest, McKee Place predicts the same. But I've been proven wrong the last three weeks expecting similar and hope to continue to be shocked.
