Don’t ever complain about Pitt football start times. The storied USC Trojans kick off their season with a 9 am local start time and othe PAC 12 teams will do the same this year as well

They've talked about doing that for years to get more games on TV during East Coast TV windows.
And you guys bashed me for my 9AM MAC ESPN2/U idea. I am a visionary.
The Pac 12 has thought that they don't get the credit because people don't watch them.
my favorite bar is in newport landing. on top of a seafood restaurant, nice bar with windows/doors that open up an overlook the bay inlet..Plenty of cool places in the Newport Beach area that have USC viewing parties. I hope this carries into next year, would definitely go to a 9 AM Trojan event.
I remember reading about the Pac 12 doing something like this. I hate it. I have enough choices at "noon". I love those late night Pac 12 games, it is like they are a bonus. The Pac 12 has thought that they don't get the credit because people don't watch them. Well as a fan of someone who's team regularly plays noon games EST time, it ain't all that it is cracked up to be. It is highly competitive. They should look more to own Friday Nights.
In fact, I read somewhere that the Mich/Minnesota Friday night game tripled the viewing of noon Mich/MSU
my brother lived in california and actually loved when the steelers were on at 9am. Said he'd watch the game and have the whole day left to do whatever he wanted. i guess if that's your mindset. i like pitt home games to go to, hang out pre and even after game and not hurry home to do nothing. As a fan i love it. Not to mention, it will be cool watching a morning game.
I know I'm in the minority, but as a fan that attends home games, I liked that one 11:00 a.m. game that I believe the ACC Network made us host (last year I think?). I enjoyed having more of the day available afterwards.my brother lived in california and actually loved when the steelers were on at 9am. If you like the idea of getting the game over with and having a day to do other things then yes, 9am is great. if you like going to the games and enjoying yourself then it sounds awful..
That’s how I feel when pitt games are away and I’m watching it on tv. Earlier the better. Same with nfl. Annoyed Steelers are playing at 4, smack dab in middle of a Sunday.I know I'm in the minority, but as a fan that attends home games, I liked that one 11:00 a.m. game that I believe the ACC Network made us host (last year I think?). 9AM local, likely 12PM EST...yeah i find it hard to believe they'll get better ratings at 9:00am EST versus 8:00pm EST.

This is the only non cable game on. I'm probably going to watch the entire game. Herm Edwards and Marvin Lewis look to be doing a good job at ASU. Keep in mind that the stands are empty, so the early start really doesn't affect the fans.
