This is embarrassing to watch. No excuse. How in the f**k did this team beat OSU and WVU?
What is funny is that Virginia has little to almost no talent, but they play as a team and they work hard on defense.
He got paid, pushed to get his lazy homey into the program in Corhen and spent way too much time around NBA guys in the offseason. This is not the same player or person.

It’s one thing to lose a close game on the road to a good team. It’s another to totally get embarrassed at home by a bad team. Pathetic tonight.
Zero grit. Zero understanding of too many aspects of the game. Zero desire to get his teammates involved or understand a PG's role as a spark plug. I'll take as much talent we can get at the other positions, but PG is just different. He ain't it.
There is a reason that even poor shooting teams shoot well against us.

The thing is this team has not been very good since the Duke game. Yeah they won a few games but the same things we saw tonight have been occurring all along
What’s there to be delusional about. The squeezed out a few games in between embarrassing losses to Duke and fsu and now have been curb stomped by UVa
I kinda like the brother, but the concerning part is he is a bad judge of character and talent. He's allowed Lowe and Ish to basically do as they please and it has rubbed off to Austin and Dunn. The rest... are they even worthy of a roster spot? Doubtful. He really has a train wreck of a roster which is 100% on him and there's no way out. I guess he should be thankful that most, if not all, will be gone in the off-season and that moron AD gave him an extension which guarantees he lives on.
It's almost hilarious how universally hailed Lyke was. As it turns out, she was one of those fly-by-night contractors who finishes a job, gets paid, and then dissolves the LLC before the homeowner realizes that just about everything was done wrong.
How many time this fall and winter did we hear that a team's poor performance was on the coach, from the coach's mouth?

So Lowe is the only problem? Why cant any of you see that all 3 starting guards play the same way? They all try hold on to the ball and try and driible through 2 or 3 players. The main problem with the guards are they all have the game and neither one is a shooting guard. The only shooting guard is Cummings, but every time he allows a basket he is pulled from the game and is gone for the rest of the game.
When a team is not well coached, this is the result. You can see that the team is tunning Capel out, as they see he is not preparing them to play these games. I am stunned when he was interviewed at end of the 1st half, he stated that the team was not prepared to play. Are you kidding me? The head coach says his team was not prepared. If Greene heard that, Capel ass should be fired. Tell me Im not the only one who heard it.
Last I checked, the other two guys will be out of the program after this season.
If Capel said his team wasn’t ready to play then what the hell did they do in practice. That’s on Capel it looked to me like some of these players looked totally disinterested in playing. Unacceptable!
Ish and another zero-assist game is just as much of a problem. He's NOT a point guard, period. He's a SENIOR and his career assist average is ~3 per game. He's another wasted NIL payment. It's a flawed roster once you get beyond the 3 guards. Cummings problems were sowed in December when Capel should have been giving him 15+ minutes every game. If he treated his front court the same way he treats Cummings, he would have no one playing since NONE of them defend.
You should go listen to Capel's postgame. I'd say he should be on suicide watch. I'm pretty sure he realizes he has lost this bunch.
Exactlly! The look on their faces says it all. They take the lead from the coach. He just seem to have no particular style of play that the players can lean on and become good at. You cant just have players playing hero ball as a game plan.
For those saying why he doesnt yanked them from the game playing the way they do. Its be because he is coaching them to play that way. Those players are not be taught to play a team game, or how the game is played. Capel is not a good teacher.
