Yep. 1 more to clinch outright. They had the trophy there but did not present it. Nice senior ceremony.
If I'm thinking about the right person (from Slovenia?), they showed her Mom and brother in the stands today and I'm sure I heard her name called numerous times in the game.
I think she got hurt in offseason. Was one of our better players each of the last 2 years, but isn't even starting this year.
She actually got passed up a bit this year. They moved Ndee to the outside and she has been really, really good. Overall they run 4 deep at outside hitter with Williams, Lund, Ndee, and Markovics. An embarrassment of riches, really. They are all really good
She is definitely dealing with an injury, but I think she was already out of the starting lineup before that. She wore a big black elbow brace for a while, but lately has just wrapped it tightly (saw her remove the wrap after the win yesterday).
She's basically being used as defensive specialist and plays half the rotation, splitting with Ndee. She did play some front line yesterday and Friday based on the extra sets. She definitely plays every match and almost every set.
Two years ago and even lay year, she was one of their best players, that is why I figured she had a lingering injury that was impacting her play. As you suggested, maybe she just got passed up by some.
If you watch her when she's on the court, she's primarily used to serve or is in the backcourt and is nowhere near as powerful as in the past when she attacks. She's definitely not 100% and they're just trying to get what they can from her at this point.
