VBALL: PREVIEW of Pitt vs Louisville - National Semifinal

Winning that set was huge.

I think we are one hitter short. They have been able to minimize Buzzerio’s hitting and we don’t have enough hitting options. Ennis isn’t the answer.

Since the Florida match, we have been out blocked by Florida, Wisconsin and now Louisville.

Through two sets and I think Fairbanks has just hit her stride serving. She could be the difference.

Klika just looks overwhelmed. Way, way too many errors. And the drop off from Buzzerio and Gomez to Ennis is huge.

It’s just sort of demoralizing to be down 3-0 in an instant to start the set

Well there's a reason for that. Florida is 8th in the country in blocks. Wisconsin is second. And Louisville is third.

By way of comparison, Pitt is 48th.

If we win this one, Texas is 47th.

We have had no answer to their attack ftom the back row. I think they are the best in the country from there. And, they have discovered that if they hit from the far left diagonally and away from the block we can’t dig it. It’s a hard shot to set for, but they are getting better at doing it.

We went on that run when Kkika was on the bench. Coincidence?

I just don’t understand it. The approach angle their hitters are taking from the left side, they can’t possibly go down the line. But, we look helpless against the same shot, time after time. No block. No dig.

We were up 19-16 and how many points did they score on that same shot? At least 6.

From the way he talks about her, Fisher thinks Klika is terrific. But, to my eyes she has been much weaker than any libero we have played starting with Florida, and has been a real weakness on the team.

Our runs almost always occur when she is not in the floor.

I feel like in the Nebraska game last year it was Browskee flopping all over the place at Librero, and we have Klika screwing us out of this tournament today. We can add Libero to RS and MB as needs in the portal.

And our runs come when Nwokolo is on the court. I think there was a rotation with her and Akeo that seems to always get points

Browske was worse, which is why Klika replaced her.

Colonel Debeers has been allowed to spot Louisville several points at the start of each set. It can’t happen here!!!

I have no idea how she doesn’t hit the net there, amazing. Pitt wins another set on a huge net/no net call. Amazing.
I think she’s my favorite panther. Leaves me wanting a little more. But less so than all the others.

Elena Scott would be my favorite if she were a panther.
