I can assure you that even when this class hits 25, Duzz will still accept additional verbal commitments. It will be malpractice not to over-recruit. This is now a business, and if the facts dictate, I will feel bad for anyone that may have to be pushed elsewhere if Pitt is sitting at 25+ in December.
Here are the situations that Duzz will have to contend with until December:
1 - Kids will break their verbal commitment, because they do this every year, and there is no real rhyme or reason.
2 - NIL. Some verbal commits will explode during their senior season and get paid. This is legal-ish (new IRS considerations to take into account.). Pitt clearly is spending NIL in the following order: retention, transfers and high school players.
3 - A unique situation arises such as a QB being offered by ND at the 11th hour.
I am loving this class. I sure hope that Duzz can hold on to the biggest pieces.
