Today is Pitt's annual day of giving. See link in tweet to make a donation to the best team at Pitt
Really pretty awesome. The players donating to the program is so incredibly earnest, my god.
Likewise. Gave a contribution as well. Ditto my wife. Look forward to the upcoming seasonglad to give, thanks for the great season PittWVB!!!!
$32,916-likely more than all other Olympic sports teams combined, and deservedly soDoes anyone know how much the volleyball championship fund raised?
That seems like a good bit more than last year but I really cannot remember.$32,916-likely more than all other Olympic sports teams combined, and deservedly so
I am not throwing shade.....but what surprised me was that less than 200 people donated. I think season ticket holders are easily well over 1000. Nevertheless.....it was a successful day and those that donated gave about $190 on average......well done everyone! That seems like a good bit more than last year but I really cannot remember.
If you look at the overall donations, the vast majority of the money went to education and rightly so. People attend Pitt because it's such a good school and athletics will always fight up hill. I didn't give anywhere close to $190 (I'm a little strapped with a certain other volleyball player, right now) but obviously many gave much more. At the very least, there is a good reason to feel optimistic about the support the team enjoys.I am not throwing shade.....but what surprised me was that less than 200 people donated. Volleyball had the highest $$$ donations of ALL sports-even more than football and basketball. Although I think people give to Alliance 412 for those 2 sports.I am not throwing shade.....but what surprised me was that less than 200 people donated.
