Nebraska is clearly a very good team. The serves are giving Pitt a lot of trouble and the outside sets just haven't been consistently successful. Service errors are just deflating
They've had matches where they've had a bunch, like tonight. Then they go a few matches where they're fine. I guess nerves tonight.
They're all over the court picking up everything. Our poor passing is helping them, though, since they're leading to less precise sets
Service errors and the lack of any significant contribution by Lund are the major issues. And, I don’t understand the lack of offense ftom the middle. They are doubling the outside. They can’t double the middle.
Does it seem like we’re telegraphing our sets? The block is always there for Nebraska.
That stems from bad passes. If they're not on target, it limits where the setter can set the ball, so it ends up being telegraphed.
Passing and returning have been awful and they have such an advantage serving. If Lund and Ndee are going to do nothing we don’t have much of a chance.
Lund looks like she can only get off the ground an inch or 2.
I don’t know much about volleyball, but Nebraska looks to be more cohesive and playing better defense. Too many unforced errors on our part.
At the end of the 3rd set she has one less kill and one less error on two fewer chances than Member-Meneh.
Passing and service errors. Not passing well enough to go to middle so we are forced to go outside with slower tempo ball from deeper on court. Combination of deep angle, which limits setter options, and higher set are allowing them to block our outsides. This is always an issue for Lund since she hits a flatter ball due to lack of jump.
Our serving has become a little soft since we are missing so many. Nebraska getting great swings off our serving
Every serve of ours is a layup. Every serve of theirs we are flopping around the court. Browske is unplayable at this point.
You just can't beat a good team like this when you serve so poorly.
