Saw him as well. My questions are around if he can play effectively beyond 10’-12’ from the basket. On either end of the floor.
Well, on offense that is not a problem,he can back people in.
He is not going to get out on shooters, but can not be backed in or be rebounded through or over.
He is a tank.
He’s a strong guy. But not sure that a back to the basket low post guy is a fit for what Pitt may be looking for, or not?
Up to the staff to make that determination. Have to wait and see?
I agree; we need guys who can shoot and score. Unless Coach Capel's plan is to move the twins out to the perimeter
Or last year. No Nike. None of this year’s transfers. It was Horton as the sharpshooter. Or nothing much else. Femi was VERY inconsistent. So they ran the O through JH.
This year? Different players. Different approach. From my observations, it seems as if this year will be the template for the preferred approach on O moving ahead.
It’ll be up to Pitt to acquire the additional players with the skill set and abilities to continue to be successful playing that way.
are you guys kidding me? Thats exactly what we need. post players. we have federiko and that's it. we will have at least 5 ships to give out, room for at least 3 (probably more) transfers. Bring another veteran guard in and bring in some guys over 6'8".

The skeleton twins, ha. I don’t think they need to become huge post guys to have a role here. I think they can be very effective on the perimeter and driving with their size, speed, and shooting. But we do need another legitimate big body on the bench.
Miss St has very poor outside shooting.
I would think they should be zoned except they crash the offensive boards well and our guys don't box out well even when playing man to man where it is easier to find the guy to box out.

I agree, but this guy is not the answer, not the way the game is played nowadays.

lol, ok. i dont know this guy's game so i understand if his skills dont match. I was just questioning posters on here who say we need only perimeter players.
we have two freshmen guards coming in, Dior (maybe), santos and Jeffress are more perimeter and of course the Diaz brothers. maybe jeffress can muck it up a tiny bit inside but the rest are perimeter players.
At the very least, we need to get a big body so Federiko has someone to practice against..
