WE’RE BACK!

Definitely a confusing team. But clearly they have a chance in just about every game if the big 3 show up.

Other than Baylor and Gonzaga there aren’t many great teams this year

It's a relatively young team that isn't extremely deep and didn't handle their first taste of success very well. Still a successful year if we finish with a conference record over .500.

Yes, Pitt is back, with 1 win in a row, what do you guys think now, is Capel the best? Forget all that negative stuff about HCJC now that Pitt has won a game and broke a 3 game losing streak, how do you feel about him and this program now?

“We did a great job on Champagnie, he has been playing as well as anyone in this league. As good as we have been defensively, to allow 83 points to a Pittsburgh team that has struggled to score at times over the course of the year, they shot 50%. We have been so good defensively but we were not that team tonight and that is disappointing. I credit Coach Capel and the Panthers, they outplayed us tonight.”

So this speaks volumes about what Capel is doing. As mentioned multiple times now, he is building a culture here. This means losses are going to be a part of the outstanding future. We all want instant success, no doubt; but when you have someone you know wants to build his own culture you have to give him a chance. Pitt basketball will be good, consistently, again. Let’s extend coach the benefit of the doubt. I’m all in, and have been, if I’m wrong I will own it. I think Lyke got this right. Let this play out...

There are very few ACC teams who have significantly more talent than we do. That's probably an indictment of the league but it means if we show up and play well have a chance to win just about every ACC game.
