As always the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Pitt isn’t on the fast track to greatness next season, but they won’t be Stallings year 2 level either. This looks like a solid team, and the pieces they need it’s still very possible they can bring in before next season.

Capel made Pitt competitive again. That is a foundation. A few more bounces here and there and the team is .500 in conference this year. If Hugley did not get in trouble the team is .500 in conference this year. It will take at least one upset of either Clemson or second round ACC tourney to not finish below .500 overall. Let’s see how motivated the bunch is.

Yes, but hasn't it been explained that his broken arm needs a year to heal, and that he has had seasons at 80%? i think he will be fine given time to build strength.
