Stadium lights were so freaking bad then. Pitt Stadium as well. At least how they appeared on TV. Possibly camera sensitivity was not as great then? But I recall lighting looked crappy even when in attendance. I was at a game at VT around that time as well, and the lighting was similarly bad especially when in the visitor section. Sometimes it was hard to even see the football.
