We have now gone a couple weeks without an on-campus stadium thread

The football stadium needs easy access. Build it on Kennards playground off of kilpatrick street with access to Birmingham Bridge or the Corner of the Blvd of Allie’s and Bates.

The problem with the Pete is it's a terrible design for a space constrained university. Way too much wasted space, it's like they tried to use up as much as the football stadium footprint as possible.

Yea but nothing else was going there and they needed administrative offices, a practice gym, etc. Its an "all in one" facility. Plus, in all my years, I think I've seen students on that green space 1 time. I thought that green space would be an attraction for a campus lacking it but no one uses it.

I do think Pitt needs a smaller basketball arena and they'd be able to shoehorn in a football stadium and smaller basketball arena up there.

The announcement that lacrosse will be at Highmark, plus the lacrosse stadium being listed as TBD on the Victory Heights page has certainly made me wonder how committed they are to it. And there’s really only one thing that makes sense to land-bank that space for.

My concerns there would largely be logistic - the transportation would be a serious problem, and would be a serious area for community opposition. Especially if the traffic plan would essentially be, “send a bunch of extra cars through the Hill District seven Saturdays a year.” There isn’t any mass transit infrastructure up there, either, and people who talk about the lack of tailgating atmosphere would get no relief on the OC lot site.

The other would be more minor, and is more about the Cost Center - I’m assuming it would come down. Is a similar indoor space planned for the new arena complex on the Pete lawn? Or are they still mulling over knocking down the non-pool half of Trees and building something over there?
