Week 2 Coaches Hot Seat Top 5 Ranking:
3. Rich Rodriguez, Arizona
You didn’t see it since you were probably sleeping, but Arizona had to work way, way too hard to get by Grambling. The Wildcats were down at home late in the third quarter, but everything will be okay for now with Hawaii up next. Rodriguez, though, could desperately use a win over Washington the week after.

5. James Franklin, Penn State
The team is looking up more than you think. Franklin was put in an impossible situation, but he’s coaching at a place that can’t let go of the Joe Paterno era – this isn’t exactly a patient or understanding fan base. However, if Penn State loses to Temple for a second year in a row, uh oh The team is looking up more than you think. When sports writers say Franklin was put in an impossible situation that's simply not true.
1. most good players and recruits stuck with PSU throughout this mess
2. he inherited a very good situation from a very good coach O'Brien
3. recruiting was strong the whole time
4. sanctions went away and bowl game added in Franklin year 2
Sounds like political talk to me.
He James from State College is just a bad coach.
Simply!

A good situation? Taking over a 7-5 program under sanctions, scholarship limitations and the stigma of a sex abuse scandal?

I'd hate to see what you consider a bad situation.
