What I believe is holding the team back, which is the lack of a volume three-point shooter.

Pitt has some other options on the roster. Beebah Cummings, Damian Dunn, and Amsal Delalic are all shooting over 40% from deep. So is Jorge Diaz Graham, who has been a pleasant surprise this year, shooting a whopping 62% from downtown.

Coaching strategy (?) or style of play?

whether it is because of the defensive attention shown towards them, the coaching strategy by Pitt, or just the style of player that they truly are — have shown that they can a large volume of three-point attempts within Pitt’s system.

This is getting out of control. Amsal is NOT the answer! This is reminding me of when you posted 10 election conspiracy posts per day when Trump lost in 2020. You cant wish Amsal into existence.

The issue is our starting PG is shooting 38% from the field, and gets by far the most shot attempts a game (and that’s not even including the junk he throws up when drawing a foul). That kills the offense, it becomes stagnant.

We have plenty of quality outside shooters when they are out in a good position to take good shots. Instead they’re often feeling forced to shoot in not ideal situations because a) the ball rarely comes their way or b) it’s to mop up a pass.

If Lowe doesn’t pick his battles more effectively, then this will continue to be a problem.

How bout a guy that can shoot the 3 consistently
Every team has one except Pitt

It’s not just Amsal, he needs to play more of the bench like he had to without Dunn. No one is saying Amsal is the next Michael Jordan. But mixing him, the Diaz brothers and Kante in more would help the offense move better than it has.
