- Paris Ford on offense. Its not a secret he was getting reps on offense

- Read option and regular option game with Pickett. He's very mobile and we saw none of that. I'm not saying we are going to go all Pat Smith/WVU or Navy here but I think you'll see some option.

I’d also add that they pretty much limited the passing game to dink and dunk I think we’ll see more downfield passing this Saturday and guys like butler and shocky involved

So, we were pretty much "plain vanilla" vs Albany as predicted.

Didn't see much stunting on the pass rush or nickel coverage either.

They HAVE to have something planned for those wheel routes and delayed TE releases down the middle of the field. Also a spy on McDouche wouldn't hurt.

Did Taysir Mack even play in the second half ?
He looks like our best WR.
Mack and Lopes look to be a solid duo.

Pickett's TD run was a read option. But I agree, expect to see them use his legs more this games. They did move him around a good bit on pass plays, expect to see him take off and run more if the pass isn't there.

Today's game really does require a mobile QB. The delayed QB run and good scrambling ability can make all the difference in keeping a drive alive. Just look to the past as to how we have suffered from slow QBs.

Well, the opening kickoff and then subsequent lopsided score ensured a completely ... COMPLETELY vanilla game plan from then on out.

I dont think we did much of anything really. Didnt throw down field, did not use the TE much, runs right up the middle. Outside of a few jet sweeps, which is SOP for Pitt, it was a scrimmage. I hope they can turn from that mundane performance to ramping it up to 11 for ped state. It really could be a difficult thing. You think you have your game face, when really we just played a cupcake at 75% speed. We have to realize before this happens and be on our game.
