What's the holdup with future schedules?

Multiple wins over teams like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn St etc has more to do with it, as well as their bowl record
I also don’t think they stub their toe very often

UW is something like 2-9 over the last 6 seasons verses the teams you listed.

I think they only beat a bad Michigan team and that terrible MSU team.

I looked up the numbers for the longer trend of 20 years
I think it was 4-11 vs Ohio state, 5-8 vs Michigan, and 5-7 vs Psu. They also have a winning record over Iowa
I’ll agree in that the Ohio st record doesn’t look good, but let’s not kid ourselves, we’d gladly take that record against the Buckeyes

And as I also mentioned, they don’t have too many bad losses either; I’m sure you don’t need me to rehash all of Pitt’s over the years
But I’ll go ahead and bring up a case of soft scheduling that - surprise! - didn’t work: 2016 Pinstripe Bowl versus Northwestern

That’s my issue with this whole debate; that changing the schedule is suddenly going to change Pitts fortunes

Man, going back 20 years there's some bad Michigan and PedSt teams. Wisconsin has rarely beaten a power team in a good year.

Nothing changes overnight but UW built their brand beating mostly bad teams. Pitt should do the same thing.

Except, I don't want Pitt to join the Big 10. :)
