What's the story with his recruitment and eligibility?

What type of player is he?

I haven't heard much or read much about him, input from those in the know would be appreciated.

Tall, athletic guard. Similar to Sheldon Jeter in that he redshirted his 2nd year at his JUCO, so he will have 3 years here. One of the few kids that Pitt has gotten recently where I was totally convinced he was going somewhere else. He visited Oregon last, and I figured he would go there. Oregon is a good school, and to beat them out head to head says this kid is probably a quality player, certainly a better recruit than any other SG on the roster right now (if we are considering Damon a PG).

Tore his ACL before the season started, so he really won't play at all this year, but that injury isn't nearly as serious moving forward as it was before.

If he's healthy, should compete for minutes right away.

Plenty of info on Clark on Google.

6-4 200# Shooting guard. Has played some PG. Led his Juco w 15 ppg as a freshman. About 38% from 3-pt range, 47% overall. Athletic. Redshirted due to a Fall ACL injury so will have 3 years eligibility remaining. Also recruited by Oregon, Gonzaga, Nevada, Pepperdine. Probably would have been recruited more heavily had he not signed early with Pitt.

If he hadn't gotten hurt and was still uncommitted at this point I bet he'd be getting offers from all over. As you're well aware, we see this every spring. Guys who are good get better offers than they would normally because schools are scrambling to fill spots. So, he's a good player and his fall offers (Pitt, Oregon, Gonzaga, St. Mary's) are reflective of that but I bet even more big name schools would have offered, like you said.

Thank you for the information guys!

When people say "athletic," I always wonder how that is gauged.

For instance, as a SG, I believe the Julius Page was the most athletic player of the Dixon era (even though he didn't seem to have the best hand-eye coordination when it came to ball handling) and Gil Brown was probably the most athletic player, in general. For those that know a bit about him, from what you've seen/know, how would you guess his athleticism compares to those guys?

Yeah it will sure be exciting to see a Pitt SG make plays off the bounce again. Nice pickup at a néed position.

From the video I have seen, gill brown is actually a good comparison athletically. Hes about the same size, smooth and as noted a quick jumper. Not saying he is the same kind of player, obiviously, but he looks a bit like dwayne wade, plays upright like he does
