We played 7. 6 transferred and Eric Hamilton used up his eligibility. Just incredible that Capel couldn't keep that team together. We were on the bubble in mid-January, Capel got an extension, then the whole program went full-on Stallings.

Pikiell is a good coach and Capel isn’t.

It’s 2 years and 3 months later.

Wow, that seems like forever ago. Pre-covid and Pitt fans feeling very positively about the program. I think I posted after that game that Pitt has surpasses lowly Rutgers and Pikiell in Capel Year 2 and that Pikiell was probably going to be getting canned because I thought that team stunk.

Pikiell is a good coach and Capel isn’t.

Besides actual coaching, it seems like players dont really like Capel. He cant get anyone to play for him and the ones he does get, leave quickly.
