Stallings year 5 or Capel year 3. I say Stallings year 5 and now that X has transferred this is definitive.

Let's play along - Marcus Carr was going to transfer no matter what after an 0-19 season so you would have not even gotten to year 3 with him. So the backcourt in the alternative universe was likely going to be Danya Kingsby and Parker Stewart, and the frontcourt was going to be anchored by Terrell Brown, Kene Chukwuka, and Bryce Golden. Wilson-Frame would have graduated leaving Shamiel Stevenson and Kham Davis to maybe play the 3.

No Champagnie or Toney among that bunch, or Odukale for that matter. Will Jeffress is extremely young and was higher-rated than all of them. Hugley would have been too which is too bad. So I agree with pittchagg, it's not even close.

Capel by far.

it’s fun to read every game how X sucks then he transfers and suddenly our team NEXT year is bad??

did you have X really being the integral part of our national championship next year?

Capel for sure. Stallings couldn't even win with Dixon level talent and we see how the lone Stalling recruit (Brown) compares to Capel's similar recruit (AKC).

I think it depends on whether or not Stallings would have woken up at any time in years 3 or 4. Had he slept through them (both literally and proverbially) they way he did in years 1 and 2 by year 5 we might have found ourselves looking up at Mississippi Valley State.

Had he woken up I feel confident in saying that he could have had us as one of the 15 best teams in the ACC.

Probably.
