I'm glad he's being used in offense. I've been asking for it for weeks but I was pretty surprised they used him at RB. For the limited package and limited plays that they can use him, it would seem like he would be more likely to make a big play at WR. I say this knowing the kid had 2 TDs in 4 touches at RB. I still think our WR position is where we need the most help. Whitehead in the slot on 3rd down or any down would be a nightmare for teams to match up with.

However, if they keep him at RB, I'd like to see him get a lot of carries. I'll never forget Diamond Ferri from Syracuse being put at RB against BC after never playing a down at RB. He played both ways the whole game and had like 150 yards. Syr won and we went to the Fiesta Bowl. I think Whitehead can do something similar.

He did line up in both spots. Peterman ' s int was an under thrown ball to whitehead in the slot

The problem was that he didn't look off the safety. The ball was very well thrown, he just can't stare down his receiver. It's something Voytik had issues with last year.

In response to the OP; I think Whitehead makes a really good RB option because of his physicality. However, I wouldn't want him to take all of the hits a RB takes

I didnt realize he averaged 13 yards a carry last year at Central Valley. I know its only HS and its AAA ball but the Parkway is a decent conference. 13 yards per carry? That has got to be a WPIAL record. That is sickening on any level.

If we dont get Sanders, I think we may have to seriously consider switching Whitehead to RB full time

According to the stats in the PG there is a kid at Washington this year, Jordan West, who only carried the ball 60 times but gained 988 yards. A sweet 16.5 yards per carry average. That did not include playoff games, so he had to go over 1,000 yards for the season on somewhere in the low 60s carries.
