He was horrendous tonight, and an even marginal shooting performance wins the game. But...this is on Jamie and everyone piling on JR should chill out. The buck stops with the guy that makes the big bucks.

All JROB has to do is get down court quickly for a fast break layup. 6-9, 235lb Freshman Happ runs down court with our SeniorR PG, not only stays with him, but actually beats him to the paint, thus causing JROB to make a decision -- a bad decision -- instead of passing to the team's leading scorer who is filling the lane, JROB decides to dribble into his own player and take an off balance shot in traffic. WOW! That layup goes in, we win. Simple as that...... ANY BAD DECISIONS DIXON MADE HE WAS FORCED INTO BY THE LIMITATIONS OF HIS PERSONNEL.
You do realize that he was Pitt's leading rebounder, with 11. More than Young and Artis combined. Horrendous?

That's a deceptive stat -- he got a lot of long rebounds because WISCY did not shoot the ball well. That said, he did what a Dixon coached guard does, helps out on the boards. The PG position has to be your "floor general" - today's PG also has to be a scoring option - he was neither of those. Maybe if Young and Artis didn't have to constantly expend energy creating their own shot, they would have more "legs" for defense and rebounding?

I always assumed that was tongue in cheek. Everyone knew the guy was a lousy assistant coach, even those who worshipped his dad in an unnatural manner. Surely no one would suggest hiring him just to tweak the nose of a rival that we didn't even play?
Oh boy, I can't wait to celebrate that statistic, just like the assist to turnover stat everyone seems to drool over.
The dumbest? That's debatable. There is some REALLY dumb crap posted on here. Like Brad Stevens coming to Pitt. Like JJ Moore being better than Lamar. Heck, there is dumb crap posted on here every day. Harve's comment likely doesn't make the top 20.
