I think Stallings is trying to save his job. He knows he needs to win as many OC games as possible to make our record as less of a disaster as possible. He knows there will be few ACC wins. He knows if he makes it to next year, that year is more important than this year. Most everyone recognizes this year for what it will be.

He thinks Kene gives us the best chance to win OC. When the ACC schedule starts. he knows it will make little difference who we play at that spot. I believe he will then begin playing Brown and Peace much more in an effort to give them experience and begin to develop them for next season.

But Kene is starting over Stevenson. If anyone thinks that Kene gives us a better chance of winning games than Stevenson, I have to question their sanity.

Stevenson is playing more than Kene. If you look at Stevenson's playing time in a couple of games, it is obvious that Stallings is trying to clean up some things in Stevenson's game. In OC, Stallings thinks Kene best fits the bill for those non-Stevenson minutes.

Kene played several more minutes than Stevenson in the Lehigh game and would have played more minutes last night if not for foul trouble. How many players have you seen still in the game with two fouls in the first half? Sure enough, he gets the third moments later. With the game on the line in the second half, who was on the floor? Kene, not Stevenson.

He is playing for 1 reason. He's a better rebounder, defender, and plays harder than Brown and Peace. All of them suck offensively so he is going with Kene because he is the best defender. That isn't to say he's a good post defender because he isnt but Peace has no idea what sport he's playing and Brown is too slow

What terrifies me is stallings keeps referring to chukwuka as a really good shooter. I honestly can not stand watching him shoot jumpers, it's actually painful to see. He needs to focus more on rebounding and scoring down low, not chucking up threes.

I agree 100%. Him shooting from deep makes me want him to sit on the bench...

If what you say is true, then bench Chukupa3 now and play Brown.

Though the sample size is small he is the worst player to play extended minutes over a 7 game stretch at Pitt since I started watching college basketball in the mid 80s. You would be hard pressed to find a stretch for a player who is averaging 15+ minutes per game that is worse than what we have seen from him. He is also a full 2 years older than Corey Manigault.

I would agree. He's the least talented scholarship player I have seen play meaningful minutes at Pitt. But this isn't a surprise. He only played 10 MPG and averaged 2 PPG at his JUCO. He wouldn't start at most PSAC schools. The fact that he is playing more than the other guys scares me to death

Kene’s rebounds per game:
1, 4, 1, 3, 6, 2, 0.

I’m trying to reconcile your fantasies with the reality I’m watching.

The dude is by far the worst player on the court at all
Times

Chukupa3 is also 2-13 in 3's. He's living up to his name.

Yea, I agree but Brown and Peace have not proven they are better.
