With Boyd leaving after this season, the 2016 season will be the first time in a long time that Pitt won't be going into the season with a WR that Pitt fans are pretty excited about. I mean I know that we have a whole season to play and a WR may step up opposite Boyd but it just seems like we dont have the quality depth we need and it doesnt seem like we are in on any big-time WR recruits.

I really want to beat Penn State next season and there's a part of me that just wants to skip ahead to that game (sorry) and considering how difficult it usually is to run the ball against their roided-up front 7, Chad is going to have to win that game through the air and I dont have great confidence yet in Ford, Challingsworth, Zeise, and Weah.

So, I'll leave with this question? Should Jordan Whitehead be moved to WR if those guys dont step up (either this season or next season). Especially if Hamlin signs with us to take Pitts's CB spot next season, we would have enough quality DB's I think and we may need Whitehead's electricity on offense.

I like him on defense with offensive touches in a sub-package deal.. See him more in a "slot" role or even some sort of hybrid Rb-WR role with screens, end arounds, quick-hitters etc.. Not sure I see him lining up on the outside as an every down WR.
