LOL. I assume they were ACC officials.Pathetic that Pitt continues to get screwed by ND officials.
I assume they were ACC officials.
The refs did it. The last refuge of scoundrels. Good grief.
6 years later time to move on.I don't like bitching about officials either. But... that BS pass interference call against Pitt in the 2012 game out there absolutely stole what should have been a Pitt win from us. There were several calls/non-calls this year that also, I believe, cost us the game this year.
If you don't think that a couple of very bad official's calls against one side in a game can determine the outcome, you're being stupid. And - for about the only time in my post life - I am 100% in agreement with the Kentucky doof. This game (in spite of Pitt's other obvious shortcomings) was taken from us
Notre Dame has used ACC officials for home games for several years now.
I guess Back Judge Gary Dancewicz is an ACC official then?
Joe get serious who in their right mind is going to screw Army out of some calls??I assume so, because Notre Dame has used ACC football officials ever since they agreed to the current football scheduling arraignment.
And here's another fun fact. Unless they changed this year, Army uses ACC officials for their home games as well.

He should not be working games in which ND plays. Here is how it works. If Clemson were to complain, then the ACC would listen. Or if this were basketball, and Duke or UNC complained about an official then he would be off the game. The ACC probably wouldn’t do anything coming from us, but if enough schools spoke up then they would.Yep. But it is certainly interesting, though, that the same guy who was on the field for the controversial 2012 Pitt/ND game was back on the field as part of the crew yesterday. Even though Pitt wasn't in the ACC is 2012. It is what it is.

Thank you for the tidbit about Army, did not know that.
I saw that somewhere last year. As I said, it is possible that they made a change in the off season, but it actually does make sense. With them being one of the few independents they'd have to partner up with someone. The ACC his (theoretically) high level officials that can easily do games in New York.
I found this with a quick web search. It's from March 2016.

It contains this blurb at the very end:
"The ACC has 12 officiating crews comprised of eight officials each that it assigns for ACC, Notre Dame and Army games as well as the Football Championship Subdivision-level Big South. The 96 officials reside in 16 states, from Florida to Indiana to Massachusetts."
