Pitt lost 72-59. Syracuse was ranked 25th.

Pitt hung with them for the first quarter, then a big difference in the talent took over. Pitt’s starting guards shot 1 for 14. Yes, 1 for 14, including 0 for 5 from three.

Liatu King had an awesome game. She shot 12 for 19 and scored 27. But she gets little help.

More head-scratching pass attempts leading to turnovers by Pitt. Syracuse players had quicker feet and hands and could shoot better. Other than that…

Syracuse was just out of the AP poll last week, but they are in at 22 this week.

Honestly, I wasn't all that impressed with Syracuse. I mean they have Dyaisha Fair and we don't have anyone like that. And Georgia Woolley had a pretty good game. But the rest of them didn't impress me.

If that team didn't have Fair I don't think they'd be much, if any, better than us. But it was just one game, maybe the "supporting cast" just didn't play well on Sunday and normally they are better.
