Well we're recruiting New Jersey without playing Rutgers and we are already scheduled to play a lower level Big 10 team over the next 4 years so I don't think we need to schedule another.
If given the choice between WVU and Rutgers I would rather play Rutgers. I know New Jersey gets its share of crap, and I certainly hate the music of Bon Jovi, but I actually like the area to visit. Would not want to live there due to taxes, traffic, cost of living and the chemical swamp it is near Newark, but I would rather go there than get spit on by the hoopies
Their attendance is worse than ours. They just have a stadium almost half the size of ours.

Poor Rutgers, they haven't said a word in years since we stopped playing them. Now, they make up fictitious rumors to try and sway PITT verbal commits, which ends with them losing commits to PITT. In all of this, PITT is the one being called irrelevant? On to of that, they are going to suddenly change from a team which went 4-8 to a winning program after the dumpster fire surrounding their entire athletics department? Maybe they should shoot low and just ensure their new hires actually have college degrees.
I see value in it from adding a P5 opponent in a state that our coaching staff wants to successfully recruit. Certainly not an every year game or a game that would replace our top two OOC games against other P5s/ND, but would certainly swap out a MAC/FCS team for it.
