Wow! If NC St beats UNC!

UNC in big trouble. Burns neutralizes Bacot. That leaves UNC completely reliant on Davis. Their supporting cast just isn't that great.

Pitt and UVA are NIT bound. What a weekend of conference upsets. Especially the SEC with most of the top seeds in that dirt bag conference exiting early like they could care less.

If they do that. That will be the end for Pitt's chances. Hoping UNC rallies to win!

A lot of irony in this.

Harrison Ingram was talking a lot of garbage after yesterdays win over Pitt saying he was better than all of our players and they couldnt score on him and a bunch of other noise.

NC State is shooting almost 60% in this game. He should have kept his mouth shut. Oh the irony in this if they go down.

Ingram is also shooting 2-8 in this game.

I'm glad NCState is taking it to UNC for their arrogance. We know we're not in the NCAAT field. May as well root for these upsets and teams we've beaten to beat a top seed. It doesn't appear that UNC is exactly all that unbeatable after all. Not #1 seed material. Even if UNC comes back and wins, they're not in that top seed line.

If that turns out to be the case, UVA's meltdown last night, which allowed NC State to make it into tonight's championship game, will have pushed both of us out of the tournament.

They are still one of the teams that has a chance to win it all. Other than UCONN, every potential #1 seed went down in their tourney. Some of them crashed hard.

Former coach Roy Williams can head to the tanning salon early tomorrow UNC lays an egg

This all started because Clemson decided not to show up against BC. They should have been the ones to eliminate UVA in the QFs. The bottom half of the ACC bracket blew up when Clemson and Duke couldn’t win a single game. We needed Duke and Clemson to meet in the semis.

It’s really amazing how many locks just mailed it in in their conference tourneys.

Unless the ACC gets 5 in with Pitt moving up in NET due to having beaten NC St twice? Very slim; but you never know.
Dan Gavitt was interviewed earlier saying that most of the field was set and that they would just move teams down if there were bid stealers. I’m not sure NC State is really going to help at this point.

Oh I think we know, lol.

Yeah, let's get real here. Pitt is not going to the NCAAT. They deserve to go and are better than at least 10 that are going, but it is what it is. We'll be a top seed in the NIT and a good possibility of winning it all, if the team that played the last 2 weeks shows up. That's the big question now.

Whatever. If the 4th ranked conference only gets 4 in that is messed up. This could oddly help Pitt if they rescrub as Pitt now has two more wins against the field. Pitt belongs.

Unreal how snakebit Pitt has been today. I still think they should be in and hopefully they still are but as close as they were to the cut line with NC State winning tonight, FAU losing today to a terrible Temple team , and Dayton going out to Duquense the other night might just be too much for Pitt to overcome.

The number of true at large teams is probably 6 lower than it should be due to teams stealing bids. Unreal. We are lucky this didn’t happen last year or we wouldn’t have enjoyed winning 2 games.
This all started night after we beat Wake. We didn’t really even get an entire day to relish what should have been a tournament clinching win.

Some of you guys could talk yourselves into a leg amputation being a good thing because it will allow you to shed some unwanted pounds.

NC State winning did not do Pitt any favors. At all.
It was the nail in Pitt’s tournament coffin. IT bound for sure now, so the 2 posters that preferred a possible NIT championship over a one and done in the tournament can celebrate.

Is someone actually suggesting the NCSU win was a good thing for Pitt?

PittSatan, a few posts above mine, is one. Not picking on anyone - just pointing out that such posts exist.

When a team is on the bubble, there really isn't such a thing as a tournament clinching win until the conference tournament championship game.
