Yep. And that's a key difference. Pitt is getting smacked by good teams. They're not losing one or two possession games. They are getting their hearts taken from them, at home to boot. No bueno.

Seems that UVA has found a way to play hard-assed, aggressive defense without running afoul of the new rules and the ACC officiating.

Virginia's defense is no where near as physical as the defense that we used to play. Not even close. Some people said it couldn't be done, but they have adjusted to the new rules nicely.

Is it written somewhere that you can't have players capable of playing offense and defense?! Dixon hasn't been able to consistently attract top talent and that won't change because of his insistence on adherance to his system.H2P

LOL. That's what I've been saying for years as well. Seems like they do OK with that at places like MSU, OSU , etc.

Not enough talent is all, IMHO.

That's all it is, I think they are doing great, considering the talent level. And they had to bring in 3 senior transfers just to fill out a roster. Their recruiting was never top notch, but the last 5 years it's become pretty rock bottom. which is sad, because you'd think with what they did between 2003-2011 they'd have the ability to convince kids to come.

Money talks. They've lost about 2,000 season ticket holders the last 2 years. That will continue this off season a n d next thing you there's even more empty seats and that's when a change will be made. I like Jamie very much but this program is beyond stale.

That's GOOD! fans shouldn't stay loyal, they should bail to put pressure on the leadership to try harder to turn things around.
