WTF!!!! Joe Mixon is playing for Oklahoma????

This is sports in the 21st century. Good athletes can do anything, show remorse and be back on the field. Good programs can have the worst scandal in college history and be playing in the Rose bowl a few years later. Drugs, domestic abuse, DUI, rape, all forgiven if you are good enough.

Exactly !

God is not stupid. Thou art a blasphemer! The smite is on it's way!

No argument. Pitt fired its winningest coach because a DE ( who later became a pro in the NFL ) threw some dipshit through a bar window after the dipshit hit him in the head with a beer bottle. I could care less if some Pedo State Branch Campus Dummie gets thrown through a pane glass window because he starts a fight with a Pitt Player. Now, this POS Mixon punched a girl knocking her out and breaking her jaw, that's the end for Mixon. He's done. Just shows what the Stoop brothers will tolerate. I wonder if Bob Stoops had him clean out a section of the stadium after it was cleaned out.
Different programs different standards. I also remember around that same time PITT football threw a 4 star RB ( I think his last name was Douglass) for underage drinking?
Yet prior to the start of this season a player from a P5 program ( forget the team) was drunk got into a fight, when the police arrived was charged with all kinds of stuff including not following the instructions of a police officier. At the end of the day was suspended for a few games????
Discipline should be consistent across the conferences for similar offenses!
Oh the player did this, look it up on the NCAA discipline chart, ok he's suspended for 6 games, or the season, etc. Simple!

The point is Wannstedt was seen as running a renegade program just because his players were arrested by City of Pittsburgh cops doing stupid stuff like public urination and bar fights. That stuff is meaningless. He did throw Jeff Knox off the team the very next day after punching his girlfriend.

Had most of those incidents occur in campus towns, they dont get charged or reported.
I mean Elijah Fields was also a drug dealer.

Frankly, I didnt know about it until the video came out, but I would have been just as disgusted at that point in time. I dont expect football players to be squeaky clean, but I have absolutely zero tolerance for men who physically abuse women and/or children. Its pathetic and beyond reproach.

Because it its....You do not think bringing up Penn State in a discussion involving a potential criminal cover up of disgusting violent act(s) by high ranking program members(cover-up enablers) to save face for a college football program is germane to said discussion? hmm interesting.
But OU didn't do anything like that. They just didn't punish him severely enough because he was a 5 star minority athlete, instead of a white Fraternity member.

I saw that too - that's crazy. Id be super pissed if I was those frat guys. Their President's response to questions to the disparate treatment make no sense either.
