We've all seen game ending Hail Mary's, but the
ending of this game was unbelievable. WVU made
an incredible comeback that normally would have
sealed the win. Houston QB fires an on the run,
busted type of play 50 yds in the air into a crowd.
Ball batted up in the air and Houston WR grabs it.
The WVU message board will be experiencing its
death throes over this one.. If you didn't see it,
google the last few minutes of the game and enjoy!

I'd actually prefer that WVU won that game, for our record's sake.

This game reminded me of any of those random Big East Thursday night games. And they think the Big 12 will overtake the ACC. WVU vs Houston???
You would think their defense would be well-prepped in defending the Hail Mary considering Jurkovec lobbed about 20 of them.
Totally unnecessary unsportsmanlike conduct by the QB was a huge mistake. If he doesn't commit that foul, WVU wins.

That was the craziest ending ever, never saw a team score the presumed winning TD with 12 seconds left and then give up a Hail Mary for the loss at 0:00 it was wild.
I agree. Besides the crazy ending what got my attention was
how WVU had the comeback that should have won the game.
QB Greene made the stupid penalty that cost them the game,
but make no mistake, stupid as he is....he is a player. We supposedly
pre season had the better team and QB. Not only is Greene good,
but so is his backup, which we found out in our loss to them. We
were supposed to be good this year, and they were picked to
suck. Funny how things work out.
I watched this entire game and it kept you on the edge of your seat
throughout. This game may have ruined WVU's season, we'll see.
They were 4-1 entering the game with a few upsets in their record.
On the other hand I was laughing at their stupidity at game's end.
Those two quarterbacks combined went 6/11 for 60 yards against us. I don't know if I'm ready to call them good players. Phil completed half as many passes to WVU guys as their own QBs did.
Both of those teams are better than Pitt in almost every way, including coaching and especially offense, including schemes, playbooks and play calling-superior BY FAR
Do you really think that it makes that much difference to how our record looks if West Virginia turns out to be mediocre instead of awful?

This is maybe the least talented WVU teams I have seen in my lifetime but they may go 8-4 because the B12 is the worst its ever been. Not good for the B12 with Texas and OU leaving. The 4 corner schools are coming but that doesnt do much. Plus Colorado will be P2 eventually even without Prime. The Denver market is too good to stay in the B12.
At least Pitt never blew a totally in the bag no doubt about it game against Houston...
If you watched Greene last night, I think you might have
a different opinion. First of all I said he was "good," not
great. The point was that Jurk was supposedly better and
the results show diffferently. Last night he was was 20-38,
threw for 391 yds, and 2 TD's. He led a length of the field drive
for the go ahead TD that should have ended in a win. I already
posted that his "stupid" penalty cost them the game. Again,
he's "good." He's not the liability that Jurk was, and he's
playing better than what many thought pre season. I hate to
say it, but WVU is playing better than expected, and Greene is
part of the reason.
Last night I mentioned what their message board might be doing.
My guess?....they're in their death throes after watching that
melt down at the end of that game.
A friend of mine is a WVU grad and fan. He wasn't happy, but they were expecting to have fired their coach by now, so pleasantly surprised about where they are. He sees a lot of young talent, but a terrible secondary. They can fix that in the portal.
