Xavier the pro...

He had a ride back to pitt after the game. He quit school after they lost. You really think he was ever intending to come back?
Are you intentionally not reading what DT is telling you happened? I have no inside info, but DT seems well connected and I have no reason to doubt his sources take on the situation.

Read Adams quotes. He lays it out quite clearly on what he thought about his time at pitt and Dixon.

You guys want to dismiss direct quotes from Adams to sleep better at night, knock yourself out.

I guess I don't know what quotes you mean. Has nothing to do with XJ anyway. Thanks for answering though.
Considering him gone after next season. If he comes back, it’s playing with house money.

I hope to hell he comes back too but it’s because I’m a pitt fan.

A couple of years ago, Adams gave some quotes to the affect that he felt constrained at Pitt.

I'm sure this is true to some extent even though his role in the OKC offense (and defense for that matter) has always been as constrained as it was in his one season at Pitt.

But it was also not true that he left Pitt after one year because he was unhappy with the team, or the coaching staff, or his role playing or anything like that. He left because someone offered him a big chunk of money to do so.

Steve didn't leave to test the waters. Steve left because someone assured him he'd get paid -- and paid a lot. And that's what happened.

Steve was going to come back for year two. From what I understand, he was having a good enough time at Pitt. But he was showed how big his lottery ticket actually was, and how it was already eligible to be cashed in.

(For what it's worth, the coaching staff was figuring him for two years.)

That's how this relates to Xavier. He will stay or go pro when the stakes are good enough for him to go (unless he hates it here, and I don't think this is the case).

Xavier is going to make plenty of money playing pro basketball. Sure, this could be in Europe where a player like X could do very well. Or it could be in the NBA.

It's just a matter of when Xavier decides to pull the trigger.

All I can say is that I'm enjoy watching him play while he's here. He can be awfully fun to watch.

The constraints were having to go to class.

As far as basketball- he plays almost entirely the same role in the nba as he played at Pitt.

Dude just yammers a bunch-talking about mid range floaters being his favorite shot-
And perhaps you missed where to told a local Pitt media member “of course I’ll be back next season.”

Steven Adams is 7 feet tall. Pretty much anybody who is 7' or taller with a pulse becomes a lottery pick. He did the right thing for him.

Adams is an example of why many college teams are moving away from the traditional center position - they're hard to find and as soon as you find a good one, they're gone anyway.

Before he even played a game at Pitt Adams was a lottery pick in many of the mock drafts. I don’t ever remember seeing him fall out of the 1st round at any point during his freshman year.

I don’t care what he said or anyone else said for that matter, there was almost no chance he was returning for a 2nd season. Literally everyone knew he was going early and getting guaranteed money.

His showing at the adidas world tournament pretty much assured of healthy he was gone

People are crazy and I'm stupid for starting this thread. X is no Westbrook. He doesn't have that kind of quickness, and it isn't knock because few do. He is average NBA little man quicksilver, and he has a weird shot. It isn't blasting him it's just the facts. I also agree with the grab the money while it's there crowd, but he needs to work on the shot and passing as well. Both are skills. He's got the attack the lane skill down. We will see the improvements this year or lack of improvements this year. H2P!

More nonsense.

X isn't Westbrook, who's one of the best athletes in the NBA at any position (duh), but he's plenty quick. He's not small either. Do you realize how comically ignorant you sound calling a legit 6'3 lead guard a little man? What are you even watching?

It's not crazy, he's going professional by one method or another.
Whether you like it or not.

I am watching a basketball player play basketball and offering my opinion. Your take on my opinion doesn't matter at all, and in point of fact you're making it personal while I am not. Enjoy your weekend sir.

I agree. I wish I could change the landscape but unfortunately my global power only extends to our two chihuahuas, and even then it's limited.

And here we go again bringing up crap about Dixon and the lies about what some here think are facts. Please quit with the Dixon stuff. He's gone now and isn't coming back and neither are his players. Let it rest.

X might be ready for the NBA in 3 years, but not soon. He's just not ready or hasn't developed to that level yet. Which is good for Pitt. Let him develop here for 3 more years and help the program. What he does after his Pitt career is irrelevant to me.

How would you know if he’s ready for the NBA? You loudly gloat about never watching so you really have no clue what you’re talking about.

I take pride in Pitt guys who go on to play at the next level , obviously you don’t really care about the
players !

It's funny that you think X staying at Pitt for 3 more years is even remotely plausible. He's ready to play professionally right now. You'd know that if you bothered to watch him.
