Pat Narduzzi is a name that has jumped out to forefront since upsetting his Pitt Panthers stunned No. 2 Miami this week. But the truth is, Narduzzi has been on the radar for quite a few schools for some time. He is 21-17 with the Panthers and earns $1.83 million.
Truth don't make things stupid. There are schools looking at him , if you think otherwise well then that's your call. 1.83 million makes it easy to get poached, that would be like 77th highest paid coach , go Nutting wallet!
Here is the reality of today's college football world. Mediocrity confuses people. At the end of every year, your coach is either trying to hold on so he doesn't get fired, or his agent gets him on a couple short lists and his existing school ends up being happy to hold onto their coach and usually gives him a raise.
Yep. And the unfortunate reality with some about Pat Narduzzi right now is this:
When he loses a game, he should be fired.
When he wins a game (especially an upset win) he's going to leave for another job.
See how that works?
Yes - Our fanbase would be diagnosed as sociopaths. Every single play, let alone every W or L, is either the greatest of all time or evidence that our coach does not understand basic football 101.
I don't think his name would have been mentioned for some of these jobs if Pitt doesn't beat Miami

And on here there are also some that are disingenuous.
With all the schools begging him to be their head coach that he's turned down the last seven years it makes it seem like as if he doesn't want to coach again.
Oh, no, wait a second, not only has he not turned anyone down there really isn't even anyone who has considered him. Gee, I wonder why that is? Oh, yeah, I remember. Most programs don't want to settle for a proven mediocrity. Except for Pitt fans, when a yinzer is involved.
Wanny already turned the program into one where the players were in jail more than class and they were poorly coached. Ever wonder why coaches can't recruit here but can other places when they leave? Loyal fans are a good start.
