Yeah, obviously we are concerned that the trend has been downwards as the recruiting season went on. Obviously one may be believe that another 7 win season will likely be franklin's last season, but maybe not, the new administration might be plenty happy with 7 win years if we stay out of trouble.

I'm a PSU guy so I don't really know what ur depth chart looks like but from PSU's standpoint Miles Sanders, Tyrell Chavis, Blake Gillikin, and Alex barbir are all guys I expect will have a big impact for PSU next year. Michael menet and Connor McGovern are both STUDS on the O-line but realistically O-lineman need a year or two to get adjusted to the college game. They will be early contributors though

Barbir is way better than what we have....

Simmons will be great but he's thin. PSU also does have very good DE's waiting in the wing. Garrett Sickles is back and Torrence Brown was supposed to start for us last year before the emergence of Nassib. Brown's a nice player. Watch out for Ryan Bucholtz next year at DE as well. Personally I think Simmons redshirts.

Menet will play before Fries. I like fries, I'm happy to have him but we have 4 OL coming off redshirt this year including some guards and we only lost our center on the O-line. Numbers are starting to come back so the line should be better next year. Menet is also the only guy at the camps who could actually battle with Gary. Gary was blowing guys away and he and Menet battled. Both won some both lost some, but if Menet can stack up against the best player in the country, I like his chances of playing early.

Absolutely, has a lot to do with Akeel lynch grad transferring as well.

Barkley should still get the bulk of the carries but there's going to be a lot of new, 2 back read option looks in penn state's new offense under Joe Moorhead. I watched some tape of his offense at Fordham, and it resembles chip Kelly's formations.

This also has a lot to do with penn state having a mobile QB (McSorely) going into next year. At Fordham, Moorhead ran probably 10-12 triple option plays per game and at least 40%of the plays I saw had a two back set.

This spreads the defense out and both Sanders and Barkley can run very effectively up the middle.

Back to football, it will be interesting to see if your new OC will have any success at PSU. The guy has never coached, let alone been a coordinator, for even a single season at a P5 school.
