to go like 11-1 this year with no fans allowed. Very few Pitt fans have personally witnessed a great Pitt season (as defined by 2 or fewer regular season losses) and if Pitt would accomplish that this season for the first time in about 40 years, those people still wouldn't have seen one....in person anyway. It is because of this that I think Pitt finally has a "great" season leaving Indiana and Vanderbilt as the only other P5 schools which haven't lost 2 or fewer regular season games in the same time period.

I have attended almost every home game since 1985 and would happily watch them go 11-1 with no fans.
I thought they weren’t playing this year...
According to this board, it’s been confirmed that no sporting events this year, pitt is doing online courses only and today that pitt is having students on campus in the fall.

It would be more Pitt like for them to start out 11-0, have the NCAA declare the fans are allowed at games, and then watch Pitt blow the 12-0 season at home against a 2-9 Syracuse University in front of a legit packed Heinz Field.

I have always said they will play this year....in the 2nd semester. I also said they COULD play in the fall with no fans but based on administrators' statements that they won't play without fans, I predicted there will be no football in the fall. However, lately, there seems to be a warming to the idea of fan-less games in the fall.
Good points SMF, and on a side note forget tarps. Heinz will be set up for nfl to pipe in crowd noise and virtual fans via CGI !
I would be willing to work for free as an understudy or fill in in case someone needs to take a wiz during the game!

I saw them, went to Pitt from 1971-1975 and lived there a few more years. Dorset 1973-1977. Saw every game when Sherrill went 11-1 for 3 years in a row. Marino, Dawkins, Green, Jackson, Cavanaugh 1 year. Should have won all national championships. Fun watching those years!!!!

And noone will be allowed out of their home until the virus is totally eradicated which is impossible with a virus. They never go away.
Beaches wont open until there's a vaccine. Beaches are open and all east coast beacheswill open 6/2.
Hotels wont open until there's a vaccine. Hotels on the entire east coast will be open 6/1.
Cruise lines will go out of business, noone will take a cruise, right now there's a huge demand for cruises, Disney will shutdown they're opeing in July, and Casino's wont open they're opening in NJ sometime in June.
Golf courses, and camp grounds wont open. Well they're open. Woof even allowed a nudist and swingers club campground Sunnyrest Lodge in Palmerton PA to open.
I wonder how a nudist and swingers club social distances. What do the masks look like ?

A lot of these same people sitting in their La-Z Boys in front of Fox News calling front line workers heroes are the same ones sitting in those same La-Z Boys who are bitching about the rules that have been put in place to try to protect those workers and the rest of society. And the best part is they'd just be sitting in those La-Z boys with or without stay at home orders and pandemics.
