I am on the road right now so this will be brief, but here’s what I’ve heard about the Dior Johnson situation:
Johnson didn’t quit the team and he didn’t get in trouble. He also wasn’t kicked off the team by Jeff Capel or Pitt’s Athletic Department. The decision to remove Johnson from Pitt was made by the University.
There’s certainly a lot of elements at play here - not the least of which being that classes start in just a couple days - but that’s what I know at this point.
