Pitt wins Set 2 25-14. Fisher put Bayless in late. 3 kills on 3 swings. One shared block with Fairbanks.
Babcock has more kills, but Stafford and VVG have been our best hitters tonight. Babcock has a ton of hitting errors.
Agreed. Babcock was very inconsistent tonight. Feel confident she will clean that up for tomorrow.
Nobody directly comparable, maybe a weaker version of Oregon or BYU? They have one really really good player in Skylar Fields who was a transfer from Texas 2 years ago, but besides that no other standout players. They don’t have the defense of Louisville and don’t have as many good hitters as GT, most of their offense focuses on Skylar Fields.

Correct....it is all about stopping Skylar Fields.....Fisher knows that and will have a strategy in place to slow her down which will create a big problem for USC's offense.
USC beat the bejeebers out of UMBC, but that was a lot more because of how bad UMBC was. Man, if they are the best team in their conference, how bad do the teams like NJIT and Albany, who finished at the bottom of the American East standings, have to be?

And for the record, Coppin wasn't any better. Actually a Coppin - UMBC match might be a pretty good one. Or at least a pretty even one.
BTW, for the match Coppin hit -.099. They had one player, Ibrahim, number 19, who hit better than .000, and only two players who hit better than -.045.
BTW, does USC not call their women's teams the Trojans any more? The PA guy tonight kept calling them the Women of Troy, surely because he was told to do that.
